Gynecological screening

Women who go to screening regularly take a lot for their health. With the help of screening, cervical cancer can be detected in its early status when it can be cured with a simple treatment. The exact time of your last menstruation is important information for the gynaecologist.

The screening contains:

• detailed questions about earlier diseases
• vaginal examination by hand
• taking sample for screening of cervical cancer (cytology)
• palpation examination of the breasts

Genetic counselling
A clinical geneticist consults with you for 60 minutes. Offers you genetic screening if it is necessary. Screening of Down-syndrome is only between the 12th and 16th week of pregnancy.
